Desmond Palmer
High School: Palmer was a district finalist in the open 400M as a freshman...OCC champion in the 300M hurdles as a sophomore...OCC, regional champion and state runner-up in the 300M hurdles as a junior...also OCC district 110 champion...again OCC district, region and state champion as a senior...finished in first-place at state finals in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles...Ohio Gatorade athlete of the year...also played four years of basketball, including two years on varsity and as a team captain.

Desmond is the three time reigning Junior Olympic Champion in the 400 meter hurdles.  He has also won 4 other All American awards in the 400 meter dash, the 110 hurdles and anchor leg in the 4x400 relay.

Palmer is Pitt's most decorated ACC track student-athlete, and his time isn't over yet as the Panthers are in pursuit of the league's outdoor championships next month. The 6-foot-5 hurdler out of Pickerington, Ohio, has earned more ACC track honors than any Panther since the school joined the league during his freshman year in 2013-14. He owns three ACC titles: one with the indoor 4x400m relay as a rookie, and back-to-back outdoor 400m hurdles championships in his sophomore and junior seasons. His efforts in the classroom have shown what it means to be a complete student-athlete, appearing on the All-ACC Academic Team twice. In addition to his ACC honors, he is a three-time NCAA Outdoor Track and Field All-America selection, holds two school records and is part of a third with the outdoor 4x400m relay. Palmer will graduate with a bachelor's degree in media and professional communications with a certificate in writing for the professions.

Roland Ladipo

Roland is a senior at Pickerington North High School.  He has had a great career playing football advancing to the State semifinal.  Ladipo had 18 receptions for 176 yards on offense and made second-team all-district at defensive back last fall as the Panthers went 12-2 and advanced to a Division I state semifinal.  Roland is 2011 All American in the 4x400 relay team.  Roland has also played an integral role on the Pickerington North Track team with OCC, District, Regional and State races on the 4x200 relay team.

He also considered Cornell, Dartmouth and Holy Cross.  "The degree you get (at Air Force) really means something," Ladipo said. "You get a guaranteed job right out of college with a nice salary. ... You're playing at one of the highest levels of college football there, given a chance to win big games against big schools. The players are great. The coaching staff treats you like family."
